At the level you get it, it is one of the better explosive weapons you can get considering the cost, and the high damage means early on, with little mods to increase damage, you get a hard hitting sidearm alternative to the Lex, which is far less effective against groups.

It's rather a medium tier gun that requires getting used to, like the spira series or the kulstar. But i would absolutely not consider it mr fodder, not at all. It's surprisingly seen as crap just because it isn't the most meta choice. The fact that a single blob deals enough selfdamage to Chroma to max vex armor and still get 400ish hp left (hail hirudo) means i can keep up the murder indefinitely. The explosions sometimes hit well over 20.000 depending on stack amount. With these last two especially Chroma, damage multipliers get so high that the aoe dot before detonation will tick for close to 2000 with my build, so a quick stream of blobs at a group of enemies is just insane. However you can also do a great job with ash (removing armor effortlessly makes the damage dealt go off the charts) mag with her bubbles, and absolutely with rhino and Chroma. It only has one round so you have to like reloading, but does good damage with great critical stats and is capable of killing things from when you get it through some of the hardest content in the game. One of the most insane combinations i use on stug is a max range vortex with Vauban. The most standard weapon in this list, the Vectis is one of the first sniper rifles that you can get in the game. This thing can output such ridiculous amounts of damage if modded and used right. The stats are misleading as hell because it actualy can proc statuses even if at a low chance (though the high firerate fixes that) and OH GOD THE DAMAGE.
